Surah al Mulk

There is a total of 96 verses in Surah Waqiah, and the 96 verses are further divided into three sections or Rukus. The name of the Surah takes from the earlier verse إِذَا وَقَعَتِ الْوَاقِعَة ُ. There is a contradiction in this Surah. Some scholars said that Surah Waqiah was revealed in Madina, whereas others said it was revealed in Mecca. However, it is crystal clear that we can take assistance from the revelation of Surah Taha, which was revealed after Surah Waqiah. Thus, it is not wrong to estimate that Surah was revealed 6 to 7 years ago in Mecca before migrating to Madina.
